Full Time Mandatory Team Gear

Writing utensil
Water purification method for an entire team
Working cell phone in a waterproof or zip lock baggie
First Aid Kit
Waterproof matches or waterproof lighter (in a dry bag is ok)
Waterproof map case or other means to keep race materials dry

Full Time Mandatory Individual Gear

(Each team member must have the following at all times)

Whistle
Compass
Means to carry at least 50 oz of liquid
Knife with locking blade
Space blanket
Head Lamp with extra batteries or way to charge

Mandatory Individual Biking Gear

(Each team member must have the following on all biking sections)

Mountain Bike
Front lighting system – must be mounted on handlebars.
Flashing red tail light
Bike helmet
